I want to take some bits out of my video when your transferring it to dvd.

These are two separate processes. The first is converting your video to a digital dvd. Any changes from that is called editing. Editing is done in a computer. Tapes cannot be edited until they are converted to digital. Once the tape is converted into a digital format, then it can be put into a computer and changed. You must pick up your dvds, take them home and watch them. There will be timing numbers showing from start to finish. Write down those numbers and what you want done. It’s called an edit list. Example 5:03 to 6:10 cut – 7:00 to 7:30 insert title – 8:00 insert music – 9:02 insert photo etc.
